Hey there!
I'm Mona, an NYC-based actor, producer, and theatermaker from Los Angeles, CA (she/her/hers). Growing up first-generation Japanese-American, my parents celebrated our rich culture as well as encouraged me to find my own voice as an Asian-American woman.
My love of theater first came to fruition in 5th grade after playing Glinda in our school’s production of Wicked. I went on to receive my BFA in Acting from Emerson College and moved to the Big Apple soon after graduating. During my time at Emerson, I cultivated my passion for social advocacy and the arts where I was able to be a part of leading an all women of color artist collective as well as leading the Asian student union.
